Beyond

New technologies bring about revolution. We only need look back to the Industrial Revolution to see how societies transform thanks to advances in technology, but we stand on the brink of some of the greatest advancements in the history of humanity. Artificial Intelligence, genetic engineering and space travel all have the potential to advance or damage the human experience. It’s entirely possible that breakthroughs in these areas won’t happen in our lifetimes, but without doubt, work being done now will help to form a future beyond what we can currently imagine.

With that in mind, in this section we look at humanity exploring new frontiers and using tech to evolve our own brains. We also consider what a 3D printed world will look like, and explore the highs and lows of AI with the late, great Stephen Hawking.
